Curing a Problem of Hiccups

Some common cures for your guests:
  1. Slice a lemon and remove the pits.  Top the slices with sugar and bitters and eat the whole thing.  This is the sure cure.
  2. Cough.
  3. Mix bitters and club soda and sip slowly.
  4. Gargle with water.
  5. Make yourself sneeze.
  6. Put a tablespoon of sugar on the back of your tongue and let it dissolve.
  7. Drink a glass of water backwards.  Warning:  This can be a very wet cure!
  8. Hold your nose and breath.  Then count to 10 or 20... Warning:  Release the hold and breathe after counting!
  9. Blow into a paper bag... Warning:  Make sure you're giving the customer/guest a clean, empty bag.
  10. Hold your tongue forward as far as you can.
  11. Drink a glass of red wine vinegar in one gulp.
  12. If you hiccup too long, seek medical advice as a precaution.
