SIMPLE SYRUP:

Making Simple Syrup:

Some cocktail recipes call for simple syrup.  To make it, dissolve some sugar in boiling water and reduce the mixture, stirring frequently, until it thickens.  It shouldn't take more than a couple minutes to prepare.
