TOASTS

Popular School Song:
SCHOOL DAYS, SCHOOL DAYS
(G. Edwards and W.D. Cobb)

Lyrics for Chorus only:

School days, school days;
Dear old golden rule days.
Readin' and 'ritin' and 'rithmetic;
Taught to the tune of the hick'ry stick.
You were my queen in calico;
I was your bashful barefoot beau.
And you wrote on my slate, "I love you, so,"
When we were a coupld of kids.

Jewish New Year Greeting:
Following the evening prayer on Rosh Hashanah, people will wish each other a Good New Year.

Each sex has its own greeting:
A man is wished- "Leshana tova tikateiv v'techateim."
For a woman, you wish- "Leshana tova tikateivi vetichatemi."
In Yiddish this is- "Gut yoar."
