Everyone wants to know why we do not support this show - THE REASON:
We had to sue the RDP Group to get our share of the money from the 2006 show. BARTENDER® Magazine did not like the way the show was going or the type of booths they were allowing into the show or the RDP Group asking all of our suppliers to go into their other show!
In my opinion RDP was classless and all about the money! My so-called friends in the business-Dale DeGroff, Tony Abu Ganim, Gary Regan (who calls his so-called friends a-_ _ holes-no class!). It's all about "Show Me the Money." As Dale Degroff said to me, "If they pay me, I go!" Class-All Classless!
All of the above are truths. BARTENDER® Magazine will not support any who support RDP and the NYC Bar (classless) Bar Show! This includes all. Check the Price to get in and where does the money go? That is why I would not support the so-called Museum of the American Cocktail. Where did that money go? Is it still non-profit? Ardent Spirits-what is that? And the so-called copy-cat magazines like Cheers, Sante, and Night Life. NO CLASS-all about money. None have ever been behind the bar. As far as for Dale, Tony Bologna and Raggedy Regan-Get a Life!
So, with friends like these, who needs enemies? The RDP Group knew nothing about our business and, in my opinion, did not respect it. So, after I told them that, I had to sue them to get my fair share, which all went to lawyers.
Now Cheers, Sante, and Dori Bryan "Rum Queen" (make me laugh), former Penthouse ad rep, are all flocking together! Ray will stay away-because we are bartenders, tended bar, and respect bartenders and our industry.
I hope you do also and save $40.00.
